Do you charge by the hour or is there a flat rate for the entire event?
I operate on a flat-rate basis for sessions. This ensures we focus entirely on capturing the right shots rather than watching the clock. Your package price covers the session time, professional RAW processing, and your final high-resolution digital gallery.
Can we schedule a consultation or phone call before booking?
Absolutely. I’m happy to hop on a quick 15-minute call or Zoom to discuss your vision, location scouting, or studio backdrops. Clear communication is the key to a successful 'raw' session, and I want to ensure we're perfectly aligned before we hit the shutter.
Do you visit the location before the day of the session?
For lifestyle sessions, I perform digital scouting or physical walkthroughs of new locations to analyze lighting conditions and composition opportunities. If we are shooting in-studio, the environment is pre-calibrated for your specific backdrop and lighting choices.
HOW LONG UNTIL I RECEIVE MY PHOTOS?
Quality takes a specific amount of processing time. You will receive a 'Sneak Peek' of 3-5 images within 48 hours of our session. Your full, high-resolution gallery will be delivered via a private Pixieset link within 7 to 10 business days. This window allows me to perform the precise RAW color grading and skin retouching that defines the David Shot It Raw aesthetic.
DO I GET THE UNEDITED RAW FILES?
I do not provide unedited RAW files. My brand, David Shot It Raw, refers to the authentic, high-detail capture process I use to preserve every bit of data in a scene. The final step of that process is professional color grading and curation. Providing the RAW files would be like delivering an unfinished app; I only ship the final, polished 'build' to ensure your photos look exactly as intended.
